Are you one of those people who simply love playing online poker? I am thinking about all the countless number of people, who are reading this article right now, and nodding their heads and answering this question positively. I am one of those persons who completely love to play poker. However, that lasts only till I am winning the game! It’s not really a hobby for me; it’s more like a battle of wills as well as a matter of a chance of winning a certain amount of money.
I am aware of a lot of people who just love to play poker. These people lie within a broad age group that is from nineteen to about fifty-seven years old. But most of the players are in their thirties. Many times I simply go up to thee people and ask them how they are and how their game is going and whether they are winning or losing. I am surprised by the high frequency of the number of times I have received a reply which went like; I was doing quite well last week till about Saturday night, but then, on that night I went down like, you know BIG style, though that might have been because I was drunk!
The fact is that thee people blame all their losses on the fact that they were drunk. When I pressurize them to tell me more and advise them not to play poker when they are drunk and all, they retort back by telling me how much they love playing poker and that they enjoy it even more when they are drunk! It shocks me because it seems as though losing sums of money while playing poker doesn’t really make a difference to them. And the worst part is that maybe it really doesn’t.
