Poker Tips
Hand values are of extreme importance while playing poker. Almost all kind s of poker have more or less the same hand values. However, there are some games which have some rules of their own, like deuces wild as well as jokers at play. However, most of the poker games are simple and straightforward with the rule that what you see is exactly what you get.
Given below are a few hand ranking values:
Royal Flush
This comprises of the five highest cards that is the 10 through Ace, all of which are of the same suit. Actually, it’s an Ace high straight flush. Here, the suit is not at all relevant.
Straight Flush
There are five suited cards in a consecutive numerical order. The Ace however can either be high or low, for example ace, 2, 3, 4, 5.
Four of a Kind
Four cards which have the same rank. For example four aces. If there are two players who have four of a kind, then the decision is based on the ranking of the cards, with ace getting the highest rank.
Full House
This is when three of the cards have the same rank, plus there is also a pair of any different rank. The ties can first be broken by the tree of a kind followed by the pair of cards. Hence, if you have three aces as well as two 3’s, then you can beat a person with three tens and two kings.
Flush
This comprises of five non-consecutive cards belonging to the same suit.
Straight
This comprises of five consecutive cards belonging to mixed suits. Suppose you have an ace high straight like 10, J, Q, K, Ace, then you can beat a king high straight comprising of 9,10,J, Q, K. The Ace can either be high or low.
